Beta Upsilon Chi
Beta Upsilon Chi was formed at the University of Texas at Austin in the spring of 1985 by a group of men with the vision of having a fraternity of committed Christian men, based on the unique brotherhood of a Christian atmosphere, for fellowship and glorification of Jesus Christ. Since then, BYX has grown to over 40 chapters nationwide, making it the largest national Christian fraternity in the United States. The Alpha Eta chapter of Beta Upsilon Chi at Clemson University was established in the spring of 2012. Since its founding, BYX has been actively involved in Greek life at Clemson University. We have a number of events such as “BYX and Does” shotgun shoot and shag, “Rave, White, and Blue”, formal, semiformal, Island Party, mixers, and others!
BYX also emphasizes giving back to the community we are in through service projects and philanthropy events we do every semester. Brothers are involved in many on campus organizations such as Order of Omega, Greek Intervarsity, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, ROTC, Young Life, RUF, and many more.
While being involved on and around campus, we also place a high importance on academics. Clemson BYX takes pride in saying that our chapter has regularly has the highest new member GPA and highest active member GPA. Overall, the brotherhood of Beta Upsilon Chi at Clemson University is a lifelong brotherhood of Christian men who seek the bonds of brotherhood and unity in Christ through the avenue of a social fraternity on a college campus.
