Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI)
Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji)
Founded in 1972 at Clemson University, the Chi Alpha Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta is an IFC Fraternity founded on the values of Friendship, Knowledge, Service, Morality and Excellence. The chapter existed at Clemson University for over 16 years until leaving campus in 1988. A re-colonization effort was put forth by International Headquarters in 2015 and the chapter quickly began growing through dynamic recruitment, on-campus involvement, and strong brotherhood.
The chapter focuses on allowing its members to get the most out of their undergraduate years through academic excellence, leadership, networking, service, and becoming a Fiji Gentleman. In addition, the chapter provides members with a wide range social events including football tailgates, mixers, band parties, date nights, formals, and weekend trips. Our members are active on campus with involvement in the Calhoun Honors College, high-esteemed honors societies, IFC, Order of Omega, ROTC, club sports, intramurals, and many others. Each Fall, Chi Alpha aims to recruit twenty-five new members and is quick to reaffirm high academic standards. Any new member who earns a 3.2 GPA or greater in their pledging semester is eligible for the Triple A scholarship worth $250.
Chi Alpha was awarded the 2017 Clemson IFC Chapter of the Year Award and Commitment to Service Award, with brothers also individually receiving IFC New Member of the Year, IFC Intramural Athlete of the Year, and IFC Academic Excellence. In Spring 2018, the chapter finished #3 in average IFC Chapter GPA with a 3.254 and #2 in IFC new member GPA with a 3.32.
